It is the most discouraging thing in the world. You have been working really hard in order to lose weight and all of a sudden the weight loss stops happening and you reach a weight loss plateau. You keep working hard and trying, but nothing seems to be able to move that scale. Change the exercise
Sometimes your body is just becoming too used to the activity that you are putting it through. Maybe try out a few new workouts that you have been holding onto or try some interval training.
Once you make your body move in a new direction, it is easy to get out of the weight loss plateau.
Track your food
You may be eating more food than you think, which could be stalling your weight loss goals. As you lose weight, you need to continue to cut down the calories to keep on losing. Track your food for a week and see if maybe you are eating more than you thought. Cut these things down and you will see the weight come off in no time.
Boost the produce and protein
Make sure that you are eating plenty of foods that are going to fill you up but are not going to add a lot of calories. Fruits and vegetables are perfect for this kind of thing. Protein will work out well too, just make sure that you get some options that are lean or at least trim off any extra fat along the way.
Limit the alcohol
If you are still enjoying that wine for supper or going out all of the time and drinking, you have to stop that. These drinks add on a lot of extra calories that are really hurting your weight loss and you will be stuck in that weight loss plateau for a lot longer if you cannot get it under control.
While this time might be frustrating, remember that it is a good sign that the body is becoming stronger. An exercise that used to be difficult for you is now easy on the body. Just mix it up a bit and celebrate that you are becoming so much stronger than you were in the past.
